Mike has a PhD in Materials Science from the University of Manchester and began his career developing piezoelectric ceramic components for smart material applications. After that he moved into the manufacture of high-performance composites producing materials for the A380 Superjumbo, X-35 Joint Strike Fighter, and Formula 1 cars. It was through these projects that Mike gained his Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and became involved in transactional and back office processes.
