eStudious raises £1,000 for Amani Children's Home

Birmingham management consultancy completes charity hike across Yellowstone National Park

A Birmingham training and management consultancy recently travelled 4,000 miles to trek across Yellowstone National Park in aid of Amani Children’s Home.

Amani Children’s Home is in Tanzania and protects Tanzania’s vulnerable street children. Amani, which means “peace” in Swahili, has rescued hundreds of children from the perils of life on the streets, where they face numerous dangers including malnutrition and abuse. Amani provides healthy food, education, counseling and medical care and where possible, children are reunified with families.

eStudious Company Directors Lynsey Bartlam and Chris Lane along with friends Chris Norris and Leanne Cheshire completed the hike through Yellowstone National Park in 5 days raising over £1,000.00 on the way. Their hike was made even more challenging when Leanne broke her foot just two weeks before they flew out.

The hikers paid all travel costs and expenses themselves to ensure every penny donated went to the charity. “As a company we take corporate social responsibility seriously and we are committed to supporting three charities; one local, one national and one international charity. Amani is our chosen international charity which we have supported for many years since my parents moved to live in Tanzania and commenced supporting the home,” eStudious Director Lynsey Bartlam commented.

Lynsey's mother is the Head of the Board of Trustees for Amani UK. “Having such close contact with the Board means we are 100% certain that all funds go directly to the charity, plus we receive regular updates as to how the money is directly helping the children,” added Lynsey.

eStudious also supports BUDS (Better Understanding of Dementia for Sandwell) and The Stroke Association through making financial donations and fundraising, and by working with the charities to apply Lean Six Sigma to improve their processes and make real cost savings.
