Management consultancy launches continuous improvement programme in response to demand

Birmingham based management training and consultancy company, eStudious Ltd, has launched a new continuous improvement programme, designed to help small, medium and large companies develop and sustain a culture of continuous improvement.

The programme is ideal for Senior and Middle Managers and was launched due to demand. Commenting on the launch, eStudious Director Lynsey Bartlam said: “As a consultancy we specialise in teaching the methods of Lean Six Sigma which has continuous improvement at its core. Due to the number of enquiries we were receiving from companies wanting support on what was effectively continuous improvement we decided to invest in writing the framework for a continuous improvement programme which could be tailored to individual needs and scenarios.”

Continuous improvement is widely recognised within business management and the majority of companies will advocate that they have a culture of continuous improvement, but according to Chris Lane fellow eStudious Director: “A significant number of companies that we have been involved with truly believe they have a culture of continuous improvement, but when we investigate further many of these companies are unable to evidence this through any real quantifiable benefits.

“We have also encountered companies that have attempted to implement continuous improvement with minimal success wasting significant time and money in the process. This is often caused by a lack of skill or knowledge within the business, limited senior management buy-in or failing to implement or follow a structured improvement methodology and approach.”

“We strongly believe that any improvement programme should be part of a wider continuous improvement culture. Our aim is to empower others to successfully implement, embed and sustain a culture of continuous improvement which is why we utilise a top-down, bottom-up and front to back approach to ensure this is successful”, concluded Lynsey Bartlam.

Lean Six Sigma is a performance improvement methodology which encompasses a set of practical tools to allow companies to combat rising costs and greater competition by improving efficiency, developing people, increasing revenues and decreasing costs. The overarching goal of Lean Six Sigma is to promote business and operational excellence.
