What is Lean Six Sigma?

Lean provides a strategy for maximising customer value whilst minimising waste. Six Sigma provides a strategy for improving process capability by reducing product and process variation. At the end of the course candidates will:

 

  • Be confident with using the DMAIC methodology

  • Be confident with using the DFSS methodology

  • Understand the value of key Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques and be confident at using these within the real world

  • Be able to identify and implement small improvements within BAU

  • Be effective project team members on small-medium sized projects

Lean Six Sigma Overview (DMAIC and DFSS)

The Lean Six Sigma Overview programme provides an outline of the two key Lean Six Sigma methodologies to enable delegates to support a Lean Six Sigma programme, project or in BAU. This programme includes an overview of the DFSS methodology which is used when a new process, product or service is needed, or when an existing process, product or service requires such significant change that an improvement process is inadequate.

Training

The training combines presentation as well as practical exercises.
